The view is worth 5 stars alone, wow!! The wine selection is great and they also have a lot of draft beers. The food is really good, it is very well plated and bursting with flavors. We found the clams with the brioche a bit too salty, but we passed the comment to our server and she was very receptive about it. The zucchini fries are superb with the labneh and the hot homey, but we thought it could be less heavy on the honey. The chowder was probably the best one we had in two weeks in the Maritimes. Overall great experience, would 100% recommend if you are dining in Inverness.

Great place with amazing atmosphere. We ordered the chowder and Clam Buns as side, and the Pork Belly and Scallops and maritime bouillabaisse. Mixed with some local beers. The chowder was everything you'd expect from a sea food restaurant. 5 stars The Clam Buns were very tasty. The bread absorbed the liquid making it super tasty. The pork and scallops were great, looks small but incredibly filling. Cooked to perfection. Very fatty but not rubbery at all. The maritime bouillabaisse was underwhelming, though it was my first time trying it, I did not know what to expect. The dish arrived heavy on the mussels, with a low amount of everything else. The dish also seemed not hot enough. All in all a great experience. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Inverness. The outdoor patio also looks amazing, but it was too cold to sit outside in October

We couldn’t wait to try this place after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint! I’d describe the food as creative classics, offering a mix of maritime favs celebrating local seafood as well as options if that’s not your preference. The gluten free options were FANTASTIC! I did not feel like I was getting a subbed version of the original meal. So good we hope to come back again before the end of our trip!

6 stars if I could. Food is some of the best on the Cape. Service is top notch and the kitchen creations are stunning. Be sure to get the seafood chowder which is way ahead of everything else.

This place didn’t disappoint me, not even one bit. Loved the location, vibes, food and drinks. No jokes, one of the best meals I have ever had in life! Also my kids loved their grilled cheese!

The food was really really good. The fish was perfectly cooked, and paired perfectly with the accoutrements. I loved the little details in the flavours. It was truly a gastronomic experience. There is room for some improvement though, which is that larger portions would be nicer, as I felt that I was still a bit hungry after. The service was very kind and polite. They even helped to clean up after a small child vomited everywhere. The atmosphere, inside it was a little bit loud and hot. Our seat also didn't have a view of the ocean, but the location can't really be beaten. I'd 100% recommend this place to my foodie friends. I'd also recommend checking out the beach which is just nearby.

The Annex – Ruined Me for All Other Food I don’t say this lightly: The Annex served me the best meal I’ve ever had in my life, and now I’m furious. Not at the restaurant, I'm angry at everything else I’ll ever eat from this day forward that will pale at the meal I've just experienced. Perfect. It was the kind of perfect that made me look around mid-bite, just to make sure I wasn't deceased and dining on ambrosia. Fiddle stitches, that was the best meal I have ever had. But here’s the problem: it's over. I walked out of The Annex a changed man, and not in a romantic, “oh-what-a-lovely-evening” kind of way. No, I left knowing I had peaked. That no matter how hard I try, how much I spend, or where I go, I will now - for the rest of my life -chase the dragon that is that meal. That god-damned delicious fish will haunt me to my last breath. Service? Impeccable. Ambiance? Stylish but traditional. But honestly, they could’ve served this food in the parking lot and I’d still be writing this. Go. Run. But just know: once you eaten at The Annex, it's over. You've won, and lost everything. Weep.
